THE DEATH OF THE WOMAN
“Upcycling is a process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value". And why not to do it with art? Specially with art produced by myself. Of course I am not treating my previous art pieces as useless products. Applying the critical approach towards my own art. Finding out new meanings to what was already done into a wider context. Experience of working at Tate Modern and Tate Britain in London gave me the ability to feel more and be able able to critically look at what art really was and is today. “Upcycling, the death of the woman” is an attempt of criticism in the contemporary art world. It is a new feminist statement and as well questioning my own artistic ego of repeating the “old well digested subjects”.
