BROKEN
2012-2016
Is a ceramic jewellery piece inspired by 1934 “Fryderyka” porcelain tableware from the Porcelain Factory “Kristoff”. Richard Tatschner was a designer of “Fryderyka" porcelain dining set who worked in German Waldenburg today Wałbrzych Poland.
“Broken” jewellery pieces is work that gives new meaning and use to something we may know and can refer to as: classical, XVII century Italian Baroque inspired tableware. I turn around the meaning and create wearable jewellery pieces out of porcelain tableware pieces that could never be seen this way but only referred to as: “common use object” such as plate or saucer.
