LA TRAVIATA
2016-2017
"La Traviata” jewellery series originally inspired by the opera with the same name by Giuseppe Verdi set to an Italian libretto by Francesco Maria Piave inspired me to create the porcelain jewellery. Traces of gold and silver seen on the pieces are allegory to the collection name as which was La Traviata that means: The fallen woman. Traces of gold and silver are memories transferred onto porcelain. The symbol of it is wealth is gold and silver and fragility of porcelain that jewellery is created from as weakness of “The fallen woman”.
