The Egg Vessels Collection with pieces “Aurora and Juhannus” are two opposites in one piece aesthetically and metaphorically.
It was created during a residency in Arctic Circle's most northern Ceramic Centre in Finland as the place has inspired the final outcome of the pieces. “Aurora” in Finnish means Northern lights/ Aurora and “Juhannus” means Midsummer. The origin of the Egg Vessels Collection goes back to the 2017 first pieces that were created in the Meissen factory. I have continued working with the same shape and developing new collections. The latest one is closest to the nature of Nordics and its raw nature. The effect is hidden in reverse day and night occurrence as well in the final look of the object.

The vessel was selected for 62nd Faenza Prize at MIC in Italy.
